You can publish posts to your Hashnode blog from Ergora's Social Suite. Add a personal access token and your publication ID once, write the post in the composer, and Ergora publishes it to your publication. This guide covers what the connection does today, how to set it up and what it does not do.
What the Hashnode connection does
Once Hashnode is connected, the Social Suite can:
- Publish a post in Markdown to the publication you chose. The first line becomes the title and the rest becomes the body.
- Add a cover image if you attach one with a public web address.
- Keep a Hashnode-specific version of your copy next to your other channels.
- Schedule and approve. Posts can be scheduled from the Social Suite calendar or sent for approval to a teammate first, and scheduled posts are published at the time you set.
The post is published live on your publication when Ergora runs it, so use the approval step before you publish.
How to connect Hashnode
- On Hashnode, open your developer settings and generate a new personal access token.
- Find your publication ID, which is visible in your Hashnode dashboard.
- In Ergora's Social Suite, open the connections panel, choose Hashnode and enter the token and publication ID.
- Ergora checks the token with Hashnode, then Hashnode appears as a destination in the composer.
To disconnect, remove Hashnode in Ergora and delete the token in your Hashnode settings.
What it does not do
Ergora publishes to Hashnode. It does not read anything back. It does not pull views or reactions from published posts, it does not manage series, tags or drafts on Hashnode, and it does not monitor your publication. It posts to the one publication ID you enter.
Writing for a developer blog
Hashnode readers expect practical posts with working examples. Lead with the problem, keep code in fenced Markdown blocks and finish with what the reader should do next. If the post also lives on your own site, say so near the top and link to the original.
