Meta launched Muse for Small Business on 29 September 2026. It connects Muse, the personal AI agent Meta introduced earlier in September, to the apps a business already uses, so it can take on operations and marketing work for the owner. If you run a small team, here is what Muse for Small Business does, where it fits, and how it compares with Ergora, especially if you are outside North America.
What is Muse for Small Business?
Muse is Meta's personal AI agent. It completes tasks on your behalf, and at launch it is available in the US and Canada. The small business version adds a set of connectors so the agent can work inside your business tools.
According to Meta's announcement:
- Connectors at launch: Asana, Box, Canva, Dropbox, Figma, Granola, HighLevel, Intuit QuickBooks, Klaviyo, Lovable, Notion, Shopify, Slack, Stripe and Zoom, plus your Facebook and Instagram business accounts.
- Custom connectors: you can plug in services Meta does not support yet.
- Approval first: Meta says nothing publishes, sends or spends without your approval.
- Availability: the US and Canada.
It is a meaningful launch. An agent that can act across a store, an accounting package and your social accounts could save an owner real time.
How the connector model works in practice
A connector lets the agent read from and act inside an app you already use. It does not replace that app. You still need your own account with Shopify, QuickBooks, Klaviyo and the rest, and the agent can only do what those apps can do.
That matters for the specialist work most small businesses struggle to staff:
- PR: tracking what the press and the public say about you, finding the right journalists, drafting pitches and crisis statements.
- Legal: checking an NDA or a supplier contract before you sign it.
- Sales: researching a prospect and preparing for a discovery call.
If none of your connected apps does that work, the agent has nothing to act on, and you are back to buying another subscription for each job. Meta says Muse is free for most of what people need, with subscription plans for those who want more. Either way, the cost to compare is the agent, plus every app you connect it to, plus any specialist tools you still have to add.
What Ergora does differently
Ergora is an AI business suite for small businesses and lean teams. Instead of an agent that borrows the abilities of your other apps, it gives you specialist AI agents with the specialist tools built in:
- PR: a PR specialist that drafts releases, pitches and crisis statements in your brand voice, plus Journalist Database, Brand Mentions, the Sentiment Dashboard, Pitch Tracker and Crisis Playbook. See Ergora for PR.
- Legal: a Legal specialist that drafts NDAs and explains clauses in plain English, plus Contract Scanner, which flags risky clauses in an uploaded PDF. See Ergora for legal.
- Sales: Call Prep, Prospect Research and AI lead scoring, working alongside your HubSpot pipeline. See Ergora for sales.
- Marketing and design: content, image and design studios in the same workspace.
Ergora also connects to the tools you already run, including Shopify, HubSpot, Xero and Stripe, so the specialists work from your real data.
It is built for a team rather than one person. Everyone works in one shared workspace, and agencies can keep each client in its own project. It is available to businesses in the UK and internationally. Plans start at $99 a seat a month, specialist packs such as PR, legal or sales are $59 a month each (or less in bundles), and you get 50% off your first month (pricing).

Which should you choose?
If you are an owner-operator in the US or Canada, your business runs on the apps Muse connects to, and you mainly want help acting inside them, Muse for Small Business is worth trying.
If you run a small team, sell in the UK or beyond, or need specialist work done rather than apps operated, Ergora is the better fit. You get the PR, legal, sales and marketing specialists and the tools they need on one platform, with one bill for the whole team, instead of an agent plus a growing stack of extra tools.
